Why Yoga?

    Yoga and kids are a great combination! The practice can grow with them in all aspects of their development—physical, mental and psychological.
    At a young age kids can enjoy yoga poses while engaging in story telling and imaginative play. As their bodies continue to grow and change, yoga helps them maintain their natural flexibility while also building strength, coordination and balance.
    Yoga encourages mental focus, concentration and the mind/body connection. Children are always testing their abilities and boundaries. Yoga gives them ways to continually challenge themselves in a safe way.
    Younger kids’ classes incorporate games, stories and creative imagery as we explore the poses. In the older kids’ classes, we include more alignment to develop focus, strength and flexibility. The family classes build family relationships while having fun together in a safe environment.
